As a teenager, Todd Reynolds started his sales career by selling residential water purification systems. From there, he spent several years in route sales, dealing with retail management and back-room clerks, which helped hone the skills required to be a great communicator, a crucial element in a successful career in sales.
After more than a decade on one route truck or another, it was on to new challenges. Twenty years later, with time spent selling cars (hated it), door-to-door insurance (tolerated it), office supplies, and more than 12 years in the wireless industry, Todd has met and beat countless numbers of sales quotas, set records (some still unbeaten), trained numerous rookies, and served in managerial capacities, all the while remaining a stubborn S.O.B. (Student Of the Business).
Reading the Masters, attending the seminars, hearing the talks, participating in the training exercises — all while keeping abreast of the latest trends in technology and social media definitely has its challenges, but it also has its rewards.
Like a woodworker inspecting his bookshelf or birdhouse, or a mechanic hearing his motor hum, Todd has always felt a sense of satisfaction by helping people find the wow moments — those moments when realization and understanding come together and make people say, “Wow – now I get it!”
Helping business owners figure out what forms need to be filed, which social media platform provides the best audience, or what the next steps may be on their path to success will provide Todd with many more “WOW” moments for years to come.
